About Lower Mangrove
Lower Mangrove is a small settlement on Mangrove Creek in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, about 8 km upstream from Spencer. The creek, a river in the Hawkesbury catchment, winds through a narrow valley of steep sandstone slopes on the western edge of the Central Coast. The area was settled in the 1820s and 1830s, when produce and timber were moved by water to the Hawkesbury River.
