About Surf Beach (NSW)
Surf Beach is a coastal suburb of Batemans Bay in the Eurobodalla Shire of New South Wales, lying on the Tasman Sea coast about 10 kilometres south-east of the town centre. It is named for the patrolled surf beach on its ocean frontage and also takes in Wimbie Beach, making it a popular spot for surfing, swimming and fishing. The suburb is part of the greater Batemans Bay area, the closest seaside town to Canberra.
