About Bombay
Bombay is a small rural locality in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, in the Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council area, about 14 km south-west of Braidwood on the western bank of the Shoalhaven River. It was served by a half-time school from the early 1870s until 1928, and is home to the rare plant species Bossiaea bombayensis, which survived the severe bushfires that affected the district in 2019–20.
