About Jacka
Jacka is a suburb of Gungahlin in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, about 16 kilometres north of the city centre. Gazetted in 2001 with development beginning in 2013, it is named after Albert Jacka, the first Australian to be awarded the Victoria Cross during the First World War. It features the Horse Park Wetlands and Homestead Complex, listed on the Register of the National Estate.
