About Bloomsbury
Bloomsbury is a small coastal town and locality in the Mackay Region of Queensland, situated approximately 86 kilometres north-west of Mackay and 39 kilometres south of Proserpine. The Bruce Highway and North Coast railway line both pass through the town, and the surrounding landscape is a mix of sugarcane farmland, low-lying coastal plains and the forested slopes of the Clarke Range. The Cathu State Forest lies to the south-west, and Clarke Range Lookout provides panoramic views across the Whitsunday Coast.
