Woody Point is a coastal suburb situated at the south-eastern tip of the Redcliffe Peninsula in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, approximately 35 kilometres north-northeast of Brisbane. The locality is bounded by Moreton Bay to the east and Bramble Bay to the south, featuring three headlands along its eastern coast: Woody Point (also known by its Indigenous name Ningeryoun), Picnic Point, and Scotts Point. The headland was first recorded on an 1840s survey map by James Charles Burnett. A notable landmark is the 240-metre Woody Point Jetty, originally built in 1888 and reconstructed in 2008. The wartime vessel HMQS Gayundah was deliberately beached at Picnic Point in 1958 to serve as a breakwater, and its remains remain visible. The heritage-listed Woody Point Memorial Hall stands along the Hornibrook Esplanade.
